Oh! by HiKoo® ​is an unbelievably super soft super baby alpaca yarn that crochets up wonderfully into this squishy and ultra-warm cowl. – It’s bulky size means it crochets up
SUPER FAST and it’s chainette structure makes it very lightweight. Once you wear it, this cowl will have you saying Oh Yes!

Special Stitches
Chainless Starting Double Crochet
Enlarge active loop to the approximate
height of a double crochet, holding the loop
securely, wrap it around the hook, yo with
working yarn and pull it around the enlarged
loop, insert hook into stitch, yo, pull up a
loop, yo, pull through two loops, yo pull
through two loops.

Foundation Single Crochet
Ch 2, insert hook into second chain from
hook, yo and pull up a loop, yo and pull
through one loop (this creates a chain), yo
and pull through two loops (this creates the
single crochet), *insert hook into chain of the
st just made, yo and pull up a loop, yo and
pull through one loop (this creates another
chain), yo and pull through two loops (this
creates the next single crochet), rep from *
for desired number of stitches.

Linked Double Crochet
Insert hook down through the horizontal bar
of the previous double crochet, yo and pull
up a loop, insert hook into next stitch, yo and
pull up a loop, yo, pull through two loops, yo,
pull through two loops.

Puff Stitch
[yo, insert hook into stitch, yo, pull up a loop]
3 times total, yo, pull through all loops on
hook, ch 1 (to secure the stitch, it does not
count as a separate stitch).

Finishing
Cut yarn and weave in ends. Wet block
laying flat to dry.
Wet blocking is recommended for this
project to help open up the chain spaces
and add drape.

Yarn: Worsted Weight

Yardage: MC Approx: 50 yds (58 yds, 84 yds, 98 yds)

CC Approx: 10 yds (15 yds 25yds, 35yds)

Crochet Hook: Size I (5.5 mm). Adjust hook size as necessary to obtain gauge.

Gauge: 14 stitches, 8 rows = 4” in double crochet stitch
